4 Things to Reflect Upon In Light of Matthew 5:5

  1. Does meekness appeal to you or not? Explain.
  2. What things are sources of pride to you? What about these things makes you proud? How do humility and pride fit together as you think about these things?
  3. How do you think God is calling you to think about the things that bring you pride?
  4. The apostle Paul never says he himself is meek.  Read 1 Corinthians 4:21, 2 Corinthians 10:1, Galatians 6:1, Ephesians 4:2, 1 Timothy 6:11, 2 Timothy 2:25, Titus 3:2. How would you explain Paul’s writings on meekness and why he doesn’t call himself meek?
