3 Things to Reflect Upon In Light of Gentleness”*

  1. Luke 5:17-26 was the example of gentleness used in the sermon. What examples of the gentleness of Jesus in action could you add to that reference? Is the gentleness explicit? Or quietly subversive?
  2. What are the reasons why people are so often not gentle toward others? When do you personally find it most difficult to exercise gentleness to others, and why?
  3. Many cultures expect people in positions of authority and leadership to be strong and assertive (not humble and gentle). How can Christian leaders learn to exercise their leadership with humility and gentleness? How can those in non-leadership positions lead up (influence those above them)?

Series Information

Unless you are the maker of something, it is difficult to truly fix something that is calibrated incorrectly.  The Spirit of God is assigned the role of re-calibrating those who are redeemed by Christ so that we can experience the amazing life we were intended for.  This is a journey of learning to live life by the Spirit and experiencing his transformative work.  The Spirit will re-calibrate us in a manner that will lead to outcomes and “fruit” that will please God and impact others
