Text: Luke 10:1-21

1. Rejection is one of the most painful of human experiences. How should we cope with the rejection that comes because of our identification with Christ? Talk about your experiences, as well as some healthy ways to embrace the inevitable relational pain that sometimes comes from following Christ.
   
   
2. Consider your Oikos. How do they perceive you? Discerning a truthful answer can be challenging. It may require honest conversations with a few close friends. Great discussion for us to share in the safety of our Life Group.
   
   
3. Pride or rejection, the point is that this life is about advancing the Kingdom of God. How can we live Kingdom-focused lives consistently in the counter cultural mindset that this life is not about us?
   
   
4. How do you express your gratitude? Share stories and testimonies about how you have celebrated with joy what God has done in your life, or in the life of the church, and how the glory was given to God.

Text: Luke 9:37-48; Matthew 19:13-15; Luke 22:20-24

1. Comparing ourselves to others is a common practice that can lead to frustration, doubt and discouragement. In your opinion, what is the greatest single heart issue at work when we do this?
2. “Self-actualization” is a term that describes a person who is self-secure, not unduly influenced by others and exhibits a healthy level of confidence.This would be a great discussion item for your Oikos.  How could you introduce it, especially in the work place?
3. Jesus redefines greatness. He is counter-cultural.  How do westruggle with our desire to be “great” (especially in light of contemporary social media),   and our biblical understanding of greatness?  What specific area(s) of life is this a struggle for you? 
4. As friends, comrades in community with one another, how can we help each other become ‘great’ in the eyes of Jesus? Further, how could we then become a GREATLife Group?
5. What personal characteristics enhance biblical greatness in our lives?
