Where: Alternating between a few different courses in Lancaster County
When: Every week on Monday evenings starting at 6pm.
Can you throw a frisbee or want to learn a new low-impact sport? Or would you like to get in more steps, but don't want to just walk on a path? If so, you are a great candidate for Disc Golf. We are looking for individuals, couples, and families of all ages, at all skill levels to come play. There is no cost to play at any of the courses. We will provide plenty of discs if you don’t have any. This is a friendly, non-competitive time and there’s ways to mix it up to make it fun for all skill levels with some disc golf games to put a fun spin on it. If you have any questions, please ask.
The following are courses we'll possibly be visiting, maybe others too: Roland Park in Akron, Herr Park (west of Lancaster, north of Millersville), Buchmiller Park (just south of Lancaster City), and Red Tail Run (at Lancaster Bible college (LBC) campus).
Leader: Steve Spangler
Anyone with a convertible is invited to join us for an exploration of some of the byways and back lanes of Lancaster County and surrounding areas. If you own a convertible, come for one or come for all of the trips this summer. We will find the road less travelled.
Friday, June 25th, starting at 5:30 from LEFC, an evening run to Dauphin County to Fire & Ice Restaurant and Ice Cream.
Saturday, July 24th, starting at 7:00 AM, the return of the Breakfast and Bridges.
Saturday, August 21st, wandering further afield to Sunbury, to Penns Tavern, starting TBD but probably 3PM-ish.
There will most likely be something more in August, but will need to see what is happening.
Impromptu runs may also be added.
Please note: This summer interest group is not an official function of the church. Any liability must be assumed by the operator of the vehicle, and proper insurance must be carried by each participant.

Come explore the strategies, techniques and equipment used in-and actually go-FLY FISHING! Whether you are a beginner or an experienced fly fisherman/woman ... come join your siblings in Christ, have some fun and maybe even catch some fish! It is our hope to even invite some local fly fishing experts to share their expertise and experiences with us.
Some of the topics we will discuss are:
- What is fly fishing and why it is considered the "natural" way to fish?
- What equipment (tackle) and supplies are used in fly fishing?
- Where can you fly fish locally?
- What does it mean to "read the water"?
- What does "match the hatch" mean how do you use it?
- Why "catch and release" and what does that mean?
Makin' Dough (Bread Making)
Leader: Bruce Miller
Join us and learn the ins and outs of bread-making...whether you're a beginner or just want to add variety to your recipes! Things we will review for the beginner include flours, equipment, tools, and where to purchase them.
We will tackle a variety of breads: white, wheat, savory, sweet, rye, black bread, and sourdough. Each week we will discuss, prepare and taste-test breads!
Depending on group preferences, we will meet weekly or bi-weekly.
Limit 7 people.

The kids can play and get connected with others who are sharing a similar lifestyle while the adults get together and discuss issues/concerns, ask questions, and pray over one another. Dates will vary based on availability of the group, but we'll plan some afternoon play dates mixed with some evening socials where our working spouses can connect, too.

Ladies Outdoor Workouts
Leader: Lindsey Snader
Workouts will include a combination of cardio and strength exercises organized in a way that gives you a great workout in a short amount of time. Exercise modifications provided, so all ages and fitness levels are welcome! Because we use our body weight rather than free weights or other equipment, this is a great way to learn some new exercises/exercise formats you can easily implement yourself at home.
We'll meet two Monday evenings each month outdoors (weather permitting) in the church parking lot. Bring an exercise mat or towel, a water bottle, and a friend!
