STRATEGIC REGION for GLOBAL MINISTRY
LEFC has global partners serving around the world. LEFC strategically moves toward partnering in international places where the gospel is unknown, where scripture is not available, and Jesus is nameless. Our area of strategic focus is Southeast Asia. Why this region?
DEMOGRAPHICS: The need is there.
- Contains 53% of the world's population
- 91% do not know Jesus Christ
- All the Buddhist countries of the world are inside this circle.
- The biggest Muslim country in the world is within this circle.
- 99% of all Hindus live inside this circle.
- Outside the circle, the percentage of Christians is 58%; inside it’s 9%.
RESOURCES: We already have them.
- More than 60% of LEFC’s international missionaries are already in this region. We anticipate our presence growing.
- LEFC has extensive connections in the region through current and past partnerships in church planting, education, healthcare, leadership development, and anti-human trafficking.
Currently in missions there is: one missionary for every 300,000 Muslims, one missionary for every 177,000 Hindus, and one missionary for every 176,000 Buddhists. Focusing on these places, with these people groups, addresses an unfinished task - introducing those who have not yet heard of Jesus Christ. This is our primary, but not exclusive, priority in the mobilization of LEFC.
CRISIS RESPONSE
LEFC partners with ReachGlobal Crisis Response to send teams across the country, serving local churches and homeowners by helping to rebuild lives and communities after natural disasters. We share the hope and love of Christ by helping to meet tangible physical needs in the midst of crisis.
