CHURCH MEMBERSHIP

WHAT IS CHURCH MEMBERSHIP?
Church membership is a declaration of shared faith and a formal commitment to love and serve one another in alignment with Scripture. Membership is not a requirement in order to attend LEFC. However, we think it's important! As we life in community with one another, church membership is a way to hold each other accountable and to be held accountable in our faith, doctrine, and personal lives.
MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS
In order to become a member at LEFC, you must attend our three membership classes and fulfill the following three requirements:
- Have made a declaration of faith in Christ
- Have been baptized
- In agreement with the EFCA Statement of Faith and LEFC's Matters of Faith and Practice
MEMBERSHIP CLASSES
We offer two sessions of membership classes each year, generally in February and September. Each session includes three classes and an interview with one of LEFC's elders. New member candidates are then affirmed by existing members at our Congregational Meetings in the spring and fall.
Our next opportunity to become a member at LEFC is coming up on Sunday mornings, February 1, 8, and 22, at 10:50AM in Room A1/A2.
