Hello, my name is Nathan Rogers I am 9 years old. I have a little brother named Owen. I love to play sports and love be outside.

When I was just a baby, I started going to a Christian daycare. There they taught me all about Jesus and bible stories. They taught me to pray in my daycare. All my teachers loved Jesus too and we would sing and dance in our class. I go to public school now, but I still love learning about Jesus. I have loved Jesus for as long as I can remember. I even remember as a little kid telling my mom that Jesus lives in my heart.

I also learned about Jesus from my parents. My mom and I have been reading the Bible in bed since I was a baby. We love singing worship songs together at home and in the car. I especially love the new Forest Frank worship songs.

When my dad travels for work I feel scared and alone. My dad prints out a Bible verse for me to say for when I get sad and miss him.

My favorite verse is from Psalm 23: “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for you are with me, your rod and your staff they comfort me.” Jesus makes me feel safe and when I feel afraid, I pray.

Accepting Jesus into my heart has changed my life. It is so incredible to learn about a savior that was willing to die for me to go to heaven. I want to follow what He teaches me about being a good person and making good choices.

I want to be baptized today because I love Jesus. I want to continue being a Christian and sharing the love of Jesus with my friends. I want to be a positive role model at school and help my friends accept Jesus into their hearts also.
