If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
Ensuring that any team from Boston, New York, Pittsburgh, Washington, or the Cowboys never win anything.
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
My parents tell me that as a young child I wanted to be a chicken killer. Growing up as a pastor's kid I promised I'd never be a pastor... and here we are.
If you could instantly master one skill, what would it be?
The Fruit of the Spirit, specifically self-control. But progressive sanctification is a gift.
What is the most unusual food you have ever eaten?
Chicken feet boiled in minestrone soup broth. Also had grilled zebra on that same trip... probably the best meat I've ever eaten!
Describe one of your greatest experiences with God.
Summer of 2010 working at a camp in a role I wasn't ready for forced me to rely on God in a way I hadn't ever before. Early mornings in the Word and prayer sitting on a swing overlooking a hilly pasture refreshed and prepared me. I understood and became deeply grateful for God's grace in a powerful way that summer.
