Baptism Testimony

BELLE TIETJENS

March 22, 2026

Hi, my name is Belle, and I am 11 years old. I grew up in a Christian family, and my journey with Christ has been very exciting. I grew up learning about God from my parents and grandparents at home and at church. I have believed that Jesus is my Lord and Savior since I was very young. Attending Catalyst Christian School, which is deeply rooted in Christ, has also allowed me to study the Bible and learn to live more like Him by showing kindness, love, and a heart for service. I believe this has shaped me to live my life in faith every day.

My family loves worship music; we listen to it in the car and at night. My mother told me that even when I was very young, I would write and sing songs about Jesus. I have loved Him for as long as I can remember. I have also had the opportunity to participate in my school’s Christmas plays, singing songs that touched many hearts. Finding LEFC has been wonderful for me because of the kids' praise and worship program and the opportunity to serve as a junior shepherd. I am very happy my parents chose this church.

I love serving Jesus. My mother calls me a 'miracle child' because, despite many complications while she was pregnant, God had a plan for my life. Although I was born early in an emergency, God kept me safe and brought me into this world for a purpose.

I would also like to share a story from a few years ago. While camping with my grandparents, I had an accident on a playground. I was playing on a seesaw when I jumped off while it was still moving. My two front teeth became loose and bloody, and I was in a lot of pain. We were far from a dentist, so my parents took me to the hospital. I was worried my teeth would never be the same, but I knew God would heal me. Through the power of Jesus and prayer, I was healed completely.

As I grow in my faith, I truly believe in the power of prayer. When I was younger, I would ask my mother to pray for me whenever I felt unwell because I knew Jesus had the power to heal. Now, I speak to Him whenever I want. I read my Bible every night before bed, and my parents play 'Superbook' stories for my brother and me. My mother prays for me every day and whenever I am sick, and now that I am older, I do the same.

I know Jesus is in my heart and that He hears me. I feel safe with Him. My life has been changed by Christ, and He is my Savior, Lord, healer, and teacher. I know He died on the cross for sinners like me. My favorite Bible verse is John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
