AXL TIETJENS

Hi, my name is Axl, and I am 10 years old. I was raised in a Christian home and learned about Jesus from a very young age. My parents took us to church at LCBC, where I enjoyed learning about God and making friends. Growing up, I remember watching 'Superbook' to learn Bible stories, and I still watch it every night before bed to learn about God's unconditional love.
I began attending Catalyst Christian School at age five, which has taught me to keep Christ at the center of my life and to be kind and helpful to others. Now in the fourth grade, I continue to learn more about Christ at school, at home, and at church. I feel very blessed by God's grace.
I first accepted Jesus into my heart when I was three years old. Now, I fully understand why He came to Earth and died for our sins to save us. He is my Savior and my Healer, and I love Him with all my heart. When our family moved, my dad brought us to LEFC, and I am very happy to have found this church.
I believe God hears and heals us. My mom prays for us every night and whenever we
are sick. On February 28th, I woke up feeling ill and was worried I could not participate in my archery tournament. My mom and I both prayed, and an hour before it was my turn, I began to feel better and was able to participate. I knew God would heal me. I also love worship music and often ask my dad to play my favorite songs by For King & Country while we are driving.
My favorite Bible verse is Matthew 6:9-13: This, then, is how you should pray: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.”
