The Marks of a Deceiver:
1. One who does not pursue the right way.
2. One who makes light of sin.
3. One dismisses the threat of the devil.
4. One who habitually and unrepentantly sins.
5. One delights in wrongdoing.
6. One who is selective in who they love.
The Marks of Child of God Who Will Lead You Well:
1. One who pursues doing things right.
2. One who grieves sin.
3. One who confesses and is repentant of sin.
4. One who wants to see the devil fail.
5. One who is repulsed at the invitation to sin.
6. One who makes effort to love even an enemy.
Who your father is will determine what nature you live by.
Walking in Assurance as a Child of God:
1. Know your enemy and deny him space in your life.
2. Know the Word.
3. Confront sin in your life.
4. Cultivate the nature of Christ in your heart.
5. Commit to love.
Series Information
The Apostle John writes these letters to the church from a shepherd’s heart caring the sheep. Many trials will come to test us and discrouge us and even cause confusion. The letters of John are to give us assurance that Christ is sufficient and that we can stand there. This will give us confidence to stand in the truth in the face of testing and trials.
