Meet the KidMin Staff

KidMin Staff bio

Dema Kohen, Pastor of KidMin
(3rd and 4th Grade)
Favorite ice cream: Chocolate Peanut Butter (Cold Stone Creamery's Mudpie Mojo is the best!)
Favorite childhood memory: My dad teaching me to ride my first "grown-up" bicycle when I was 8. I felt loved, protected, and led. I remember wanting to scream at the top of my lungs, "Look, world! I have a Dad!"
What I wanted to be when I grew up: As a young child, I wanted to be a truck driver and go to the West (since only truck drivers were allowed to travel outside of the USSR boundaries). I was fascinated with the life in non-communist countries and wanted to see it for myself. As a teenager, I was dreaming of becoming a translator. This dream came to reality. Starting at the age of 18, I began translating (from English to Russian) and haven't stopped since!

Julie Zook, Early Childhood Coordinator(2 year olds through kindergarten)

Favorite ice cream:
Mocha Chip
Favorite childhood memory: Spending time with my family at our cabin in Sullivan County. We would go swimming in the creek, play in the big yard, and eat great food.
What I wanted to be when I grew up:
An elementary school teacher like my mother. Early in my career I taught fifth grade at Manheim Central School

Samantha Krick, Coordinator of Nurseries and Guest Services

Favorite ice cream:
Turkey Hill's Double Dunker or plain vanilla Bean
Favorite childhood memory:
Traveling across the US in our RV when the Air Force moved my family from Alaska to Virginia. I loved when my parents drove at night. My siblings and I would fall asleep and would wake up in new places. We loved exploring and trying to figure out where we were.

What I wanted to be when I grew up: I want to follow in my dad's footsteps and be a fighter pilot. I wanted to fly his jet, the F-15, or be the first female pilot for the brand new F-22.

Christy Kramer, Administrative Assistant
Favorite ice cream: Chocolate
Favorite childhood memory: Watching hot air balloons land in the field across the street from our house, running over to see them up close, and then watch them take off again.
What I wanted to be when I grew up: Figure Skater
