Small Groups at LEFC
The vision for Small Groups at LEFC is that everyone experience community by being in some type of small group. Our hope is that no one is left unconnected to the body.
The purposes of small groups at LEFC are:
- to make disciples of Jesus Christ,
- to welcome both the saved and unsaved into our fellowship, and
- to bring transformation and spiritual maturity while doing life together.
We define a small group as one where people find:
- Strength for life. For the storms and for the daily pressures. (Eccl. 4:9, 10)
- Wisdom for making important decisions. (Prov. 15:22)
- Accountability that is vital for spiritual growth. (James 1:23-25, Prov. 27:17)
- Acceptance for who we are and to bring healing. (John 15:12, 13)
- Self-disclosure: to know and be known.
- Care-giving: to love and be loved.
- Humility: to serve and be served.
- Truth-telling: to admonish and to be admonished.
- Affirmation: to celebrate and to be celebrated.
- Transformation: to move from being discipled to making disciples.
- Turning our souls toward one another.
- Pleasure in being together: eating, praying, and playing.
