Andy Zimmerman
My name is Andy Zimmerman and I’m 15 years old. I’m a freshman at Conestoga Valley High School. I love to play sports especially baseball and basketball. At age 4, I asked God into my heart. I’ve had the privilege of growing up in a Christian home and going to church. Hearing the word at home and church helped me realize that Jesus died for my sins and is the only way to heaven. I remember sitting on my parents’ bed, asking questions about heaven and hell. Having a mom and a dad who love God, it was very easy to ask them questions about asking Jesus into my heart when I was younger and now asking questions about being baptized. A year later when I was five I was swimming and I almost drowned. Even though I was young, I knew that God was by my side because he saved me, and I know that he has a great plan for my life. God helped me understand that with him all things are possible. I feel that baptism is very important because Christ commanded it and since he was baptized we should be too because he is the perfect example of how we should live our lives. And by being baptized it shows that I am truly a believer of Jesus Christ.
Harmony Zimmerman
Hi, my name is Harmony Zimmerman. I’m 10 years old and I’m in 5th grade. I like art, music (especially playing piano and drums), and reading. My favorite author is C.S. Lewis. I even read the Chronicles of Narnia in English and Chinese. For the last four years my family and I have lived in southwest China, where I went to a Chinese school.
However, the most important thing about me is that I love Jesus. Now I’ll tell you how I came to love Him.
I accepted Jesus when I was 3, at a campsite, after my parents and I had our morning devotions. After reading from Psalms, I said, “I want to follow Jesus too.” I then prayed to invite Jesus into my life. I am saved because Jesus died for my sins.
Since then, my relationship with God has been very good. I enjoy reading my Bible and praying. I like talking to God about my day when I’m getting ready to sleep. I also want to tell my friends about Him.
When I grow up, I want to be a doctor in another country, helping people with their needs and faith, and encouraging them to know Jesus too. He said: “I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the father accept through me.” (John 14:6)
Matt Zimmerman
Hi, my name is Matt Zimmerman. I am an 8th grader at Conestoga Valley Middle School and I am 13 years old. I play basketball and baseball. When I was 4 years old I accepted Jesus into my heart. Since then He has guided me on the right path.
I want to be baptized because the Bible tells us to do so. Also, I want to show people that I love God. Lastly, it is a symbol that our sins have been washed away and I look forward to following His plan for my life.
