Music and Worship at LEFC /files/Images/Music Worship/PW June 07 Singers.JPG
The purpose of the LEFC Music/Worship Ministry is that LEFC will be regarded as a place of praise and worship, a place where people sense that they are in the presence of God.

The Music/Worship Advisory Team meets regularly to review strategies that:

  • Provide leadership for inspirational worship
  • Encourage growth in corporate worship and worship leadership teams.
  • Build relationships with the church "at larage."
  • Encourage the artistic and worship related gifts within the church body to be used in support of the ministry of LEFC.

/files/Images/Music Worship/P P2.JPGHow can I serve?

There are various areas of service that presently make up the LEFC Music/Worship Ministry. Each area of serice requires specific levels of skill, training and spiritual maturity. It is our desire to provide opportunities for people to use their worship related gifts in ministry at LEFC.

Following are the areas of Music and Worship where you can serve as part of the Family of Grace at LEFC:

Praise Band

Three teams of musicians and singers serve in leading the congregation in corporate worship. Individuals who serve on these teams must be committed to Christ and to serving Him with their lives as well as their musical gifts. The use of these gifts needs to be solely for the glory of God. New members are brought onto a team after meeting with several members of the Music/Woprship Advisory Team for "Review." Interested individuals should contact Ken Martin.

Choirs

Choir Projects provide opportunities for anyone to use their love for music and singing to honor God. Specific projects are scheduled for various age groups and seasonal events. Choir information will be published in teh Servants' Voice when relevant.

A Cappella Ensemble

The A Capella Ensemble is a chamber choir that glorifies God through vocal music from many styles and periods. Individuals in this group need to be music sight readers with excellent vocal ability.

CD Ministry

Sunday morning worship services are recorded, duplicated and archived. Duplicate cd copies are provided upon request (at the Information Desk) and are also sent to LEFC missionaries as requested. Vickie Zimmerman serves in this ministry.

Sound Ministry

The Sound Ministry serves to provide sound reinforcement for all LEFC functions. The individuals who serve in this ministry are trained volunteers who are responsible for set-up, operation and teardown of equipment needs for each event. Ken Martin serves as the leader of this team.

Projection Ministry

The Projection team serves to provide projection support for all LEFC functions. Members of this team need to be alert, detail oriented and computer literate. Kathy Bewley serves as the coordinator and trainer for this team.

Drama

The Drama ministry provides opportunities for dramatic gifts to be used in ministry to the body of Christ and to reach out to seekers. Dramatic sketches, promotions and scripture presentations are used to supplement teaching and worship events. Drama information is published in the Servants' Voice when relevant. Merle Zimmerman provides leadership for this ministry.

Special Music

Individual musicians and singers who feel led to present a special song, are welcome to share that song with the congregation. Individuals who have not been active in the music and worship at LEFC are asked to meet with several members of the Music/Worship Advisory Team for a "Review." Joyce Courtney serves as the schedule coordinator and contact person for special music.

/files/Images/Music Worship/PW June 07 Dancers.JPGWorship Dance

Worship Dance is a welcome aspect of worship in our services. This expression of worship is to lift up Jesus with outward expressions of the body. Choreographed worship dance may be presented by groups of children or adults as well as soloists. Free worship dancers, those who worship during congregational worship, are welcome to use open areas in the rear or along the side of the auditorium or in the lobby. Contact Sharon Roseboro for more information.

Pre & Post Service Music

This group of musicians provide instrumental music before and after worship services. Music before services provides a backdrop for fellowship and an indicator for the start of the service. Music after the service sets an atmosphere for prayer and fellowship. Ken Martin serves as the schedule coordinator for these muscians.
