The Book of GENESIS

Study by Dr. Chuck Missler

Purchase Here

This is a college level course.  Dr. Chuck Missler of Koinonia House www.khouse.org claims that every major theme and doctrine in the Bible has its roots in this "Book of Beginnings".  Dr. Missler explores Genesis from an ancient Jewish perspective, delving into physics, mathematics, biology and much more.  The listeners are always urged to a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ, who is proclaimed throughout the Scriptures.   Where Christian scholars disagree, many viewpoints are presented, with Acts 17:11 exhorted, where Paul commends Bereans for exploring the Scriptures to see for themselves what God said.

2 Samuel

Precepts Study

As we study 2 Samuel and 1 Chronicles, you may watch David, a "man after God's own heart,"  as he ascends the throne and then descends into sin.  See how our covenant-keeping God turns a man from the worst sins to a victorious finish.  This is a Precept-type, discussion class; choices of books, priced about $8 or $20 will be presented and ordered the first week of class.

Sacred Waiting

by David Timms

Purchase Here

Sacred Waiting will be a class exploring a characteristic of God that is difficult for many of us to appreciate. He is a God who waits to do many things. Waiting on the Lord's timetable is a theme that is seen over and over again throughout the scriptures. We so often want to hurry through the waiting period to get to the blessing on the other side. But perhaps there is greater blessing is found within the waiting itself. This class will be based on the Bible, the book "Sacred Waiting" by David Timms, and my own testimony of waiting.

by James MacDonald

Purchase Here

Using the scripture from Job 23:10 as the main premise of his book, James MacDonald writes a wonderful resource for the times in our lives that are exceptionally difficult.  He studies several other  scriptures to show us how God can use suffering to change our conduct and to shape our character.  This six week study could be life changing.

Bittersweet:

Thoughts on Change, Grace and Learning the Hard Way

by Shauna Niequist

Book Discussion

Purchase Here

From the author of "Cold Tangerines", Bittersweet discusses the idea that in all things there is both something broken and something beautiful, that there is a moment of lightness on even the darkest of nights, a shadow of hope in every heartbreak, and that rejoicing is no less rich even when it contains a splinter of sadness.
