The mission of Crossover, LEFC, and the Church universal is to make disciples (Matt 28). At Crossover, we see that part of making disciples is making the choices, the "crossovers," that lead to life rather than death (John 5:24).
It is our passion to see students make disciples as they choose to share the life and love of Jesus with others. We allow students in all grades 7-12 to participate in missions in the four Cs: our campuses, county, country, and continents.CAMPUS
We don't want to take the good news of Jesus Christ around the world and forget the people in our schools! Your school campus is your first mission field: the way you walk, talk, eat your lunch, turn in your homework, etc.
COUNTY
(Grades 9-12):
SERVED!
One Thursday every month we take a team of 6-10 students to the Water Street Rescue Mission in downtown Lancaster. The students eat dinner at the Mission dining hall. They then cross over to the other side, serving the Mission residents their dinner and washing the dishes.
The second Thursday of every month.
4 PM -6:30.
Sign up in Sunday School.
Led by Skip Axe or Ryan Snyder.
Upcoming dates: We always go the second Thursday of every month.
COUNTRY
(Grades 7-12):
Every summer we take a team of junior and senior high students to a Reach workcamp in the US. We stay in the local high school, and every day for a week we split up on different work crews to work on houses in need of repair in the community. In years past we have been to Tennessee, New York, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and North Carolina.
This year we are doing some work in our own backyard. We are going to be serving in Annville, PA.
Check it out!
CONTINENTS
(Grades 9-12):
Let's Go!
Every other year we take a team of mature students where ever God calls us to go. We spend 2-3 weeks serving the needs of the local people, whether that means building a house, doing AIDS education, or performing street ministry.
In past years students have gone to Germany, Jamaica, Siberia, Romania, Bosnia, and Uganda.
In order to be a part of these teams, students must be involved in the Crossover small group ministry and go through the application process to participate.
Be used by God around the world! Let God change your life in another country! Go international!
We are going back to Uganda in the summer of 2009.
